Can you reccommend a nice restaurant serving traditional Thai dishes in Bangkok?(give a different answer) .
You should try the Lys in Siam Square area, it's exactly the restaurant you're looking for: traditional Thai dishes made especially for the foreigners (easier on the chillies I mean). The atmosphere is more of a French bistro (there's even a French petanque court outside) but the menu and the decorations are purely Thai. The French feel comes from the Thai-French owners Pat and Philippe. I had dinner outside, in the garden, because it was a lovely day and even the air-conditioning couldn't keep me inside. The baby clams and the grilled sea bass were especially good and the lemongrass salad refreshing. Our meal went up to 1000Baht, including drinks. Address: 104 Narathiwat Road Soi 7, http://www.lelys.info.
