Where to go out for the evening in Chiang Mai?(give a different answer) .
Spend an evening at the Night Bazaar, it's great for people watching, shopping and tasting the food from the street vendors. The bazaar is huge, it will keep you busy and entertained for hours. Small stores and street stalls are aligned along the roads, selling all kinds of Thai products, from cheap jewelry to designer goods. If you want to bring home some of the Thai feel buy some hand-woven fabrics (it's even better if you buy it from the hill-tribe people), handcrafted ceramics, traditional umbrellas or woodcarvings from the glass-front shops but try not to be lured by the cheap prices at the street vendors, their stuff is not authentic. And don't forget to bargain, the sellers here are not that agressive as in Bangkok and even seem to enjoy this "game".
