You know in the movies when they show a middle aged man lieing under a palm tree on a deck chair on the beach and a gorgeous girl brings him a cool drink with a paper umbrella in it? Well, that's Pattaya beach! Pattaya beach is very hectic and gets rather crowded in the weekends but during the week it's the perfect place to laze around. The water isn't really good for swimming but there are a lot of beach activities so you won't have time to get bored: parasailing, banana boat rides even bungee jumping. If you're too lazy for water sports, just sit in your chair and get a massage or ask the food vendors walking on the beach to fetch you something good to eat or a cool drink. Still, the best time to be on the beach is not during the day but at sunset: the view is breathtaking.
The other beach in Pattaya, Jomtien is actually better kept and quieter but I liked better the lively Pattaya beach.
